Monitor Return Checklist
Before a return window closes, or before paying for a used monitor, run the same short checklist every time. It keeps the decision grounded in visible problems instead of vague doubt.
Check pixels first
Use solid colors to look for dark dots, bright dots, and pixels stuck on red, green, blue, or white. Take clear photos if a store or seller asks for proof.
Check uniformity and bleed
Use black, 25%, 50%, and 75% gray. Look for bright corners, cloudy patches, strong tint shifts, and dirty-screen effect.
Check text and daily content
Use the text mode, then open the apps, games, videos, or documents you actually use. A defect only matters if it affects the way you will use the display.
